Tuglu-Tekin and Amir-Zadeh Mausoleums

A friend of Temur's, Amir Hussein built the mausoleum for his mother Tuglu-Tekin near the necropolis of Temuria women. The conical dome crowns its cubic foundation. Carved enameled terracotta and painted majolica decorate the portal. Amir- Zadeh mausoleum is situated close, at the edge of the ancient wall. It is a cubic building with a high portal and ribbed dome. There is a little carved enameled terracotta there; majolica prevails in its decor. There are three arrow-shaped niches on the mausoleum sides. Visitors can see an additional arch system above the under-dome octahedron.
